Ethical Reform

We must demand the highest ethical standards from those who hold public office.  Part of this effort requires that we reduce the influence of “big money” in politics.  In particular, we must eliminate the unlimited spending of 501(C)(4) interest groups in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court decision in the Citizen’s United case.

I believe we need to have our congressmen spending time working on our nation’s affairs, and not endlessly chasing campaign dollars.

We must reduce the influence of special interests on legislation, and enhance the role of citizens in the lawmaking process.
